E-body actuators are built for the toughest process applications — and they’re solid. But did you know there’s a way to turn your positioner in the opposite direction from its standard orientation?
If you need to change the way your actuator faces, follow these simple steps.
Air to Open Actuator
Step #1: Apply air to the actuator to raise the valve plug off the seat
Step #2: Loosen up the yoke nut
Step #3: Turn the whole actuator 180 degrees
Step #4: Tighten the yoke nut
Step #5: Release the air to bring your valve plug back down to the seat.
Air to Close Actuator
Step #1: Loosen up the yoke nut
Step #2: Turn the whole actuator 180 degrees
Step #3: Tighten the yoke nut
It’s important to follow these instructions properly as to not damage the plug or seating.
